Southern Hospitality is not a thing of the past! The second and the third shift staff during my stay were very helpful and courteous and went above and beyond to make sure our stay away from home was a pleasant one. People like them make someone like me want to come back and stay again.
I can't wait until my next trip to Beaufort!
Mold covering exhaust vent in bathroom. Vents have not been cleaned, mold around rim of exhaust fan. Front desk very nice, said she would find me another room. Cleaning won't do it. Vent needs to be replaced and area it covers needs to be treated with bleach. . The young lady at the front desk had me in a new room in less than 20 minutes. My new room was fine and I enjoyed my stay. I upgrade my rating to 4 stars. The ladies on staff were very professional and very kind and helpful.
This hotel is a dump! The room (number 108) was not clean. It had a strong odor of urine. The floor had not been vacuumed. The vanity counter top had a large greasy area presumably from a previous occupant. There was a live roach in the bathroom. The toilet ran constantly. The door to the room looked as if it had been broken into at least twice and covered up with a plain piece of metal. When out for the day, I took all of my belongings with me because I could not trust to security of the door repair. ALL of the lamp bases were rusted. The lamp shades were cracked and yellowed. The refrigerator was rusty, as was the microwave. When stripping a corner of the bed to check for bed bugs I uncovered a torn, moldy, stained mattress pad. I requested a do not disturb sign for my door and after waiting ten minutes for the desk clerk to find one, I was handed a stained, torn sign. Breakfast on Saturday was sausage and biscuits. The sausage and gravy was served from a crockpot that looked as if it hadn't been washed in weeks. When I returned from being out for the day, my room keys no longer worked. I requested they be renewed at the front desk and the clerk barely looked at me. She did not greet me or apologize in anyway. The ONLY pluses about this hotel are the water pressure and the night clerk who checked me in. The night clerk was very nice which I appreciated as I was checking in at 11:30pm.
Corporate or regional office for Quality Inn should upgrade plumbing , particularly the bathroom fixtures.
The room was great! Clean! Huge! AC worked perfect! Only problem was the shower didn't completely come on... all the water didn't stop flowing from the lower spout the whole time and water pooled in the shower. So overall enjoyed our 1 night stay. Area was very quiet and staff was very nice. Would go back!
Stayed here for three nights during 4th of July weekend. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was good each morning. The reason I do not give this establishment a 5 star review is because half of the staff was friendly and helpful while the other half was not. Also, towels were not placed in our room on our second night. We asked for them in person at the front desk, and still did not receive them an hour and a half later. All in all, we would stay here again.
